I used the equity in my southern properties to finance HMOs in Yorkshire
I nearly lost everything when my back went ten years ago. The insurance company didn’t pay out. I still love what I do as a photographer but now I earn more in rent. I never want to be in that position ever again . So if you are fortunate to be an accidental landlord use that asset to invest in a more cash flowing asset then you get both cash flowing up north capital appreciation down south. Saying that all 3 HMOs in Yorkshire have increased by 30 percent in 3 years at a brick and mortar value as I bought 2 bank repossessions and one probate. Listen to Tony my first idea was single let’s it would have taken years lots of properties and lots of knackered boilers and roof repairs to achieve what I have. Although I didn’t like the advice I changed course and that was down to Tony so that was the best 30 mins ever spent.
Thank you so much Andrew – and I KNOW your situation will resonate with people. It’s wonderful to see how much you have achieved! 🙂
